A consistent theme in the Kings Kaleidoscope story is the importance of an environment that fosters creativity, experimentation, and collaboration. Chad reflects on his upbringing, education, and church experiences, and how they have all factored into the way he creates music and works with others.

A lot of kids that come onto this podcast are kids who couldn't sit still in school, learn their own way, do things differently, have engineer parents, just don't quite fit in.
And that pacing and not sitting still in school is a common starting place for people. Is that you?
Chad
I could sit still in school, but the thing that didn't work for me with school was just like, the anxiousness, you know. I mean the high-level story is I got kicked out of high school after my sophomore year because I was just skipping so much school 'cause I had so much anxiety. So if I sat in the back of the class and I was feeling like I was gonna have a panic attack, I just wouldn't go to the next class. I would just skip school. So I did that so much that I had to transfer high schools. But as a little kid, I was actually okay. I had actually had pretty good grades. Elementary school, middle school, same thing. I only started having bad grades if I had like, was having panic attacks and stuff and I would just kind of check out.
