Environments, Pt. II: Kamp Kaleidoscope
How creating a free space for creativity, camaraderie, and joy gave birth to two live streams, two albums, and an EP.
Nearly all of the Kings Kaleidoscope material from the last few years is a product of Kamp Kaleidoscope. Matt and Chad discuss how Kamp came to be, the culture it created, and how that environment uniquely influenced the projects that came out of it.

Just like for so many other people, the pandemic stuff just sucked because we came off of that Zeal tour with more money than we'd ever had, and tons of momentum ready to go back out for another run, and then we just couldn't do anything for like a year. And that sucked.
But, what we ended up doing was, somebody really generous helped us get basically like a retreat center. It's this old studio that was built by a band in the ‘70s, with a huge house, and I just would fly the band in and we'd create our own little bubbles. So basically for that year and a half when everything was shut down, or in various states of shutdown, we just created what we called Kamp Kaleidoscope. And we're about to put out the third project from that time period.
