Matt recently had a conversation with Brian Eichelberger, frequent collaborator, mixer, and co-writer with Kings Kaleidoscope, to take a deeper look at what makes the Kings culture unique.
Matt
What is your earliest memory of the existence of Kings Kaleidoscope?
Brian
That would be the very first time Chad came to lead worship at Good Friday at Mars Hill. And at least as far as my memory goes-—we might have to compare notes here—he and I had actually exchanged some contact even before that, when he was leading worship at a church in Bellevue. I remember him sending me some videos on Facebook or something like that, where they were doing some similar arranging to what we were doing at Mars Hill, with the orchestral elements in a band.
But we really got to work together for the first time doing that Good Friday service that Kings did, which ended up being the Sin EP. My memory's a little foggy on it all, but I think we worked together on some arranging for that. I think I may have also mixed that EP. But yeah, that's kind of how I remember first coming in contact with Chad and Kings Kaleidoscope.

And what did you notice?
